Pours a dark brown with fine tan head.
Smell is roasted with a slight smokiness. Notes of brown bread, coffee, caramel, licorice and sweet malt.
Taste is malty, roasted and a bit sweet with a subtle stab of smoke. Notes of kavring, licorice, coffee and caramel. Soft bitterness, very rich and creamy.
Mouthfeel is medium so full, chewy, smooth and well carbonated.
Overall, an outstanding lager, a great hybrid between a dark Bock and smoked beer.
