This beer is stated to have grapefruit in it... thus it's not really an IPA if you ask me. I find the trend of fruit being added to IPAs a bit disturbing. That being said, this is one of the better brews I've had that does have fruit in it. If the brewery isn't getting the notes they want with only hops and malt, they are selecting the wrong hop and malt varieties.
First sip tasted exactly like grapefruit juice. The more I drink, the less that brutally fruity front end gives way to the actual hops in this beer, which is why I bought an IPA to begin with. Overall, okay, but not great. Get rid of the fruit please! This beer would be way better without the grapefruit.

Shock was delivered when the first ounces out of the can hit my clear glass. This beer is pretty dark, especially for an IPA. That was a surprise for me
Head is white however very little appeared, but gave way to superb lacing. Nose is slightly caramel or malty. Taste hits home the toasty, nutty bitterness that is soft yet flows across all points of the palate. This beer gets three thumbs up from my family!
