Here at Woodland Republic in Rapid City, having never been here before. First time in town in a while and this had the most interesting lineup, and it’s a brew like this that made the stop here worth it!
Champagne golden and clear, the thin head of foam quickly settled down to nothing. No lacing was left behind either as this was quite thin in body. Thankfully, this was full in aroma and body as it tasted true to form. Lots of Key Lime tartness in the nose, along with barrel funk, and a bit of whipped cream topping. Soda, yeast, and a hint of light wood were in the taste along with an overt carbonation that kept things fun and lively. Slick like honey in the back, this went down easily as the sweetness and lime tang were quite enduring after the last sip went down.
Hard to detect any alcohol in this as I could have easily had another in one sitting. Just a tad funky on the palate, the soft serve was not overwhelming as the fruit was allowed to softly shine. Glad to have given this as go as most of their other current offerings seem to just as creative and well-crafted!
