Had at the brewery.
On arrival, 3 fingers of off white head were present on top of a clear reddish brown body. Nice lacing forms as the head slowly dissipates.
Aroma is mostly lager-y which you may expect from a strong lager, but the darker malts don't have a huge presence. There are some slight toasty notes, but they aren't super obvious.
Flavor follows the aroma, but brings a bit more of a malty flavor. Not super toasty but it is present. This beer really isn't all that sweet at all. Slightly toasty, but mostly just bready. There is a slight building bitterness. The flavor is more of what I'd expect from the style than the aroma.
The feel is surprisingly drinkable and light for both what it is and generally the ABV. It isn't a heavy beer and definitely passes as a standard darker lager. The feel alone makes this dangerous. That gets some po8nts for sure.
Overall this is a decent dark lager, but considering the ABV extra points are deserved because it is virtually impossible to tell this is a strong lager without knowing beforehand. Beyond that it isn't something I'd rave about, but it is good.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
