As spring is beginning to arrive when the nights are still chilly and campfire season seems to be upon us, it seemed like the perfect time to release this beer. Clean, chocolate, coffee, and caramel notes fill the flavor and aroma of this beer, providing you with a perfect flavor to send off the cold weather and welcome in the much anticipated spring season.

Light khaki tan head. Recedes to a thin wispy foam that coats the circumference of the glass (until I finished it). Dark brown, slight haze, light not able to penetrate through the other side. Smells of cocoa powder, toasted pumpernickel bread, medium roast coffee, and a tiny bit of anise.
Unsweetened bakers chocolate up front with a similar, but slightly tannic dryness in the finish. Dark toasted bread, cocoa nib hulls, low percentage cacao dark chocolate, mild herbal bitter hops.
Medium body and carb. Pleasant fine cocoa powdery mouthfeel.
Def leans more Northern English brown over ‘Murican. I’d like to say one of the better examples I’ve had recently but unfortunately there aren’t enough brown ales available to make that statement. A really well done brown ale. Would purchase again.

Canned 2025/03/19, Mr. Brown... better than Mr. Pink
Pours a fizzy bubbly 2 finger tan head with fair retention, a bit of a rocky head, whisps of lacing, dark hazy mahogany brown opaque color
Nose brings some roasted toasted malts, caramel and a bit of toffee, coffee and a bit of roast, a bit of cocoa and mocha java like, bread crust, sweet creamy malt and mild floral hop, hint of baking spices and cookie
Taste starts with some coffee notes, mild roasty and rich nutty coffee, a bit nutty overall, mild dark chocolate, some biscuity wafer cookie, hint of cocoa, some caramel and toffee but not too sweet, a touch of baking spices, light herbal hop notes that turn spicy late, smooth creamy mocha pudding, dry finish with spicy hop bitterness kicking up a notch or two
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, creamy and a bit rich, med prickly carb
Overall nice brown ale, plenty of character without getting too sweet, enjoyable
