Special 2016 Batches #4. KKG. 12 oz. Bottle
Red/brown amber color and full off-white foam cap holds strong.
Maple, brown sugar and smokey amber malt sweetness dominates the nose. Thick and heady malt aroma, herbal and earthy hop in the background.
A very crisp bite of smokey and caramel malt hits first, an excellent malt charecter. A very dry, earthy, hearty hop flavor provides excellent balance and is rather complex. The malt tastes much more subtle than the aroma will lead you to believe, still a bit smokey with very subtle maple, but the hops push forward with a big, bitter, dry and very earthy effect.
The feel is crisp, medium bodied with a long and lush malty effect, finishes dry and bitter. An excellent cold weather brew.
