Geary’s Brown Ale has chocolate and caramel flavors with enough citrus hop flavor and bite to balance and compliment the malty base. Our Brown Ale blends a traditional English style with an American flair.

11/2021 BOM
The label states “Off Trail Brown Ale” I’ve rated this assuming it’s the same as “Geary’s Brown Ale”.

A bottle poured into a pint glass (from a bom club). Look had a dense 1/2" kahki foam head with a great looking brown (slightly reddish) body. Scent has a roasted, slightly sweet malt, and surprisingly nutty complexion. Taste is on the bitter-er side of things with the nutty flavor being most prominent and then roasted notes complementing nicely. Feel is dry and medium bodied with a pleasant aftertaste that nicely matches brown ales. Overall a solid offering!

This ale poured a dark reddish, brown color with a two-finger head that dissipated slowly. The aroma is mildly hoppy and sweet. The taste is very pleasant; a creamy burnt caramel flavor with a nice combination of sweetness and bitterness. This ale has a smooth, somewhat creamy texture. I definitely plan to have this ale again!

Pint on draft at Hella Good.

Appearance: Very dark brown with little to no head. Clear.

Aroma: Nutty, slightly floral. Pleasant, inviting.

Taste: A slightly herbal, slightly hoppy, nutty brown ale. Very crisp. Nice mix of flavors.

Mouthfeel: Very approachable and sessionable. Pleasant on the palate.

Overall: A well executed brown ale. Best new beer I’ve had from Geary’s in forever.

The beer is a dark brown color. There is a modest, quickly dissipating, tan head.
Sweet malt aroma. A little nutty. Hint of brown sugar.
Caramel taste. A little hazelnut. Late hop bitterness.
Medium-bodied. Balanced.
