On-tap 12/4/2011 at Rose Alley Ale House in New Bedford, MA served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep coppery red color with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick on the glass.
S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, some fruit and some hops.
T: The taste starts out bready with a hearty malt character followed by some mildly sweet flavors of fruit, tea and some spice. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
D: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, nice flavorful and sessionable beer to drink for a long time.

On tap at The Thirsty Pig. In a pint glass the beer was auburn color with a thick tan head. There was a lot of lacing.
Aroma of fruit and caramel malt.
Candied apple taste, maybe a bit of cherry. Caramel malt in the background.
Nice malt, very smooth. Easy to drink.
A fitting 25th anniversary beer.
