@ The Great Lost Bear, Portland ME

Cloudy gold with a thin, dense head. Large swatches of lace left by a never say die foam top. While the cask gives the beer a better foam show show a cloudy kolsch is just weird.

Oak aroma jumps from the glass: like sticking my nose next to a freshly cut tree. Honey stick and butter round out the bouquet.

Taste follows the aroma and oak dominates once again. Clover honey sweetness and doughy. Tastes "fortified" like something farmers would drink before sowing oats and taming the land. Could be considered perfumy if you set your mind on it.

Great beer that showcases oak very well. Tasted that much sweeter after a new half marathon PR.
