I ordered a Heartland Hefeweizen recently at Mo's Irish Pub not knowing anything about it. I'm not a beer reviewer, but I was very pleasantly surprised by this beer. Partial to hefeweizen beers, this was right up there with Live Oak Hefeweizen, in my opinion. I'm looking forward to this beer receiving an official rating by BeerAdvocate!

This is good, crisp, refreshing hefe. Not outstanding, but good.
Poured from a can into a pilsner glass. Clear yellow color with good head and lacing. Fairly classic hefe smell and taste profile, a bit subdued. Sharp hay like bitterness at the finish. Most interesting aspect of the beer. It does ale me want to visit the brewery.

Nice crisp but punchy intro, good head / airy moth feel. It maybe feels a little one-note to me -- doesn't come together completely like a few other hefes I've had. Very drinkable, though -- worth a look.
