Pour is black with a wonderfully dense, creamy, dee khaki head. Good retention and lacing.
Nose is bourbon, plum, raisin, quad characteristics but first. roasted malt, subtle chocolate, coffee
Taste is surprisingly forward in the quad note. Heavy plum, fig, dark fruits. Hint of raisin. Lightly biting roasted malt. Finish has a subtle hint of bourbon. Chocolate, coffee, bourbon, vanilla - the stout characteristics begin to emerge as the beer warms.
