Composition is an elevated and extremely malty, barleywine-style ale that packs a punch after being aged in Still Austin bourbon barrels for nine months. Our complex brew hits on many sensory attributes with notes of plum and cherry fruits, vanilla and coconut aromas, with nutty and sweet flavors of molasses and macadamia nut on the tongue. This strong ale is complex and has evolved into a devilishly rich, flavorful, and balanced brew.

2024 vintage. Drank 10/26/24.
Pour is a deep ruby, crystal clear, with a lightly kahki cap of foam. decent retention and a bit of lacing.
Nose is soft bourbon, vanilla, caramel, toffee, oak, coconut, hints of dark fruit
Taste follows - some bourbon, nutty, toffee, dark fruit, molasses, maybe a hint of dark, sweet cherry...but not in a tart unpleasant way. Nicely balanced. Not too sweet.
Rich, full mouth feel. low/moderate carbonation.
Overall a good bourbon barrel aged barleywine. Doesn’t get too sweet or cloying. Very enjoyable.
