great new brewery here in missoula, south of downtown in a neat little spot. i was surprised to see so much happening in here, bigger than it looks from the outside, with a nice long bad, some pinball machines against the back wall, and barrels stacked up all over the place with future goodness in them, nice decor, immediately cozy and comfortable, and the dude working the bar was great, friendly and knowledgeable, welcoming and kind, good atmosphere in here for sure. i was however a little disappointed by the beer list, not because it isnt diverse, it certainly covers all the bases and then some, but because of the lack of wild or funky beer, even any yeast forward beer of any kind really, given the name, i expected that to be central to what they are all about, but alas, that was not the case. they did have two saisons on, but both were generic on the yeast, french saison type, nothing intriguing or exciting at all there. now that said, the beers i had in here were solid, including the saisons, but i was especially stoked on their wintersun ipa, so flavorful and unique! i think they have a good thing going, quality seems high and the place itself is great, but with a name like this, they should have some more fermentation forward beers happening at all times no? this will be a regular stop for me when i am in town, well worth checking out if you havent yet!
