A very good stout. Black color. Thin, beige head. Chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, roasted malt, and peppers in the aroma. The same notes follow into the taste. Some heat from chile peppers and roasted bitterness at the end.

Pours like cola but appears black in the glass. Quickly recessing head, maybe half a finger at most. Nose is pronounced cinnamon, hints of vanilla--cinnamon dominates all other profiles. Taste is coffee, cinnamon, chocolate. Mouthfeel is thin-to-medium body, moderate carbonation. Finish is cinnamon and coffee but as time lingers, a faint chile spice creeps into the mix.

12oz canned on 12/30/24 poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp, no ABV listed on label. The beer pours very dark brown with minimal highlights and medium brown colored head. The aroma is spicy with cinnamon and hot pepper leading the way and a hint of cocoa on the finish. The taste is semisweet cocoa and spicy pepper with the cinnamon coming in late. Minimal bitterness. The feel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, one of the nicest Xocotlatl inspired stouts I've had in a while.

8 ball black with a moderately tall head of tan foam.
Whoa, Abraxas meets Mexican Cake, cinnamon and chile pepper are both big, while the body is a little lighter.
A burn goes down the gullet emulating booze and feigning a stronger constitution than its true ABV.

A: dark black with a tan head.
S: chocolate, cinnamon, and clove.
T: cinnamon and clove with chocolate and Chili.
M: fairly light in body, moderate to high carbonation, and fairly dry
O: just enough Chili to let you know it's there, but not a big burner. I like it

Aroma is huge cinnamon, dark malts and coffee. The flavor is dark malts, coffee, chocolate/mild sweetness and a Christmas spice/acidic/huge cinnamon finish.

Served in a dimple mug - a very dark beer with little to no head, just a thin ring around the perimeter of the glass. This beer has a delicious flavor of dark chocolate, chile pepper, and cinnamon. Somewhat thin, could be creamier, but overall an excellent winter-time beer and one of my favorites of all time.

12oz can. Bottom of can is stamped 'PKGD ON '09/30/22'.
Black colored body, with a red mahogany back lit edge. Light tan head that disappears within a minute, leaving an active bubble center and a partial ring.
Aroma is vanilla cola, cinnamon, and briefer hits of chiles and chocolate.
Taste really follows the nose with flavors of vanilla cola and cinnamon. Dark chocolate is a main part of the background taste. Chiles add flavor and a general sense of vegetal hot. Sweet spices continue into the aftertaste.
Very smooth and creamy mouth feel. Slight tongue burn from the chiles. Supportive carbonation.
Good nose, taste, and mouth feel throughout but the overall experience gets a little thin after half in.

Whoa. This is different.
Pours black with a one finger head. Aroma is really different -- chilies and cinnamon are very pronounced. Taste is smooth, hardly carbonated at all, and contains profiles of chilies, cinnamon, chocolate and coffee. Very unique. The body is moderate but would benefit from being a touch on on the heavier side.

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely black color with a mild tan head. SRM of 23. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of cinnamon. Some spices and then chocolate and sweet lactose.
Flavor: Strong flavors of cinnamon, ginger, spices. Some chocolate behind it with a spicy finish.
Feel: Medium-bodied, strong spices and carbonation. Spiciness lingers.
Compared to Modist Ritual Night 1/2023: Pours similar, milder head. More cinnamon, spices. Less chocolate. Similar spiciness.
Overall: A very spicy porter with cinnamon and spices. Not quite my style, but it was alright. (Rating: 3.52)
