Poured into a weizen glass. Pours a slightly hazy, medium to dark coppery amber with a fine, two finger white hed with good retention and lacing; a little bit of gushing on opening. Aroma of crackery wheat malt, banana and clove; aromatic. Flavor follows with biscuity wheat malt, clove, banana and a hint of caramel; starts dry, gets sweeter, then finally a dry finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess and sharp carbonation. One of the more idiosyncratic hefeweizens I've had, much darker in the glass, only a little hazy and with deeper malt that seems to have some flavors outside the wheat spectrum. In a blind taste, I'd say this was a dunkel and the look would then convince me. I like the dry/slightly sweet/dry taste profile and the solid banana notes in the yeast. It does not seem like a tradtional hefe to me, but I enjoyed it quite a bit; looks, smells and tastes fine. I'd get this again if I saw it.

I probably had it at Stammtisch in Pdx and I really liked it. Amazing, yeasty weizen.

This was a tasty and non-offensive Belgian, with sweet overtones, and light touch of funk, on an another wise simple finish. SCREW YOU HATERS!

Best before 9/10/2020.Pours into a weizen glass a hazed lemon tinged tea color with a huge blooming fluffy off white head that settles very very slowly leaving multiple chunks of lace behind.Banana and clove phenols stick out most in the nose with a bit of toasted cereal grain underneath.Grainy and toasted on the palate with the spiced and banana notes not as prevalent as in the aromas. No frills and easy going down,I think better than past reviews personally.

From Costco. In Bavaria glass. After dinner. Darker than usual in aspect and taste, and less refreshing. Pretty thick body. Good but I miss more intensity in the usual flavors of hefes

Slightly hazy amber color with off-white head. Aroma has some fermented banana and a slight toasted malt note. Taste is sweet and estery, slightly bitter on the finish. Not bad but it’s not really good either.
