Pours an amber colored liquid with a huge, spongy eggshell colored head.
Aromas are of orange pulp, unripe mango and rock sugar among dried lime zest.
Has a refreshing, well carbonated mouthfeel with a stony effervescence to it, showcasing a light bodied, thirst quenching brew.
Tastes of bitter, juicy limes with a pleasantly spicy leaf dryness to them among an old school west coast maltiness, consisting of caramel, melting toffee and a well fitting dose of resin. Turns a little sweeter then, with a subtle rustic grain smokiness among maintaining toffee. Finishes with sugar accompanied caramel, even more pronounced, noble herbs and prevailing lime zest among an earthy, slightly resinous malt backbone.
A well done West Coast IPA without a doubt, while this leaves a little of its initial hop bite to be desired in its sweeter, and less complex finish.
