This is an Amarillo hopped Smash IPA.
A: Pours a pale copper/orange color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and lace left behind.
S: More pine and citrus forward aromas. Not bad at all, and enjoyable enough. Though very muted from some other Amarillo hopped IPA's I have had.
T: Like the nose more pine and resin, with citrus. Plenty of caramel malt, which becomes a bit too noticeable. Then the dreaded buttery diacetyl flavor. A light bitterness lingering.
M/O: A medium body and moderate carbonation. Just OK to drink, though I can't see myself coming back to this.
It was an OK, but not exceptional West Coastish IPA, until I detected some diacetyl. Maybe not everybody notices that, but I do, and while not entirely detrimental...just makes it blah.
