Glass: Weihenstephaner weizen glass
A beer with spelt grain usage and wheat, brewed as a hybrid dunkelweisse, or so the appearance and flavors would seem. In general, I found the beer to be quite drinkable, a combination of classic dunkelweisse flavors with a bit more grain than usual, and a beer I could easily have more than one glass of.
Pours a large, slightly off-white head of small, dense bubbles. Head retention is average, collapsing within a minute or two. Leaves little to no lacing along sides of glass. Body is a hazy, golden-brown orange, with light bringing out pale yellow highlights and lightening the brown-orange color.
Aroma is of mid-intensity grain, banana and other less discernible fruit esters, and modest malt sweetness.
Taste opens with malt sweetness on the front of the palate, transitioning to rich banana, malted wheat, cloves, and some sugars in mid palate. Back of the palate picks up some grain and continued malt sweetness, along with ripe banana and assorted other fruit-like esters. Aftertaste is of lingering banana and fruit esters with some malt sweetness.
Beer is medium bodied, with mid-level carbonation that foams the beer up on the palate slightly, creating a smooth mouthfeel. Closes semi-dry, with the front of the palate significantly drier than the back.

A very cloudy orange aboslutely beautiful
Smell sweet and sour the banana/orange/clove is very prevalent but the spelt adds spice and sourness
Tastes precisely the same the sourness is really quite refreshing
Hmmm medium body good carbonation
Drinkability is high but still not sure about the sourness beyond a halbe

Pours slightly hazy dark orange with large almost white head that very slowly fades to dense layer at the top. Aroma is bready banana yeast, slight vinegary sourness.
Taste is complex bready, vinegary sourness with clear notes of banana, becomes more sweet towards the medium-dry finish. Mouthfeel is medium with light carbonation.
An excellent brew. Only the second time I have drank beer made with spelt and I really enjoyed it.

Dark orange color, a lot of perlage. Weizen style foam, creamy on the top, a bit bubbly on the sides.
Classic smell, banana, cloves, and somethong spicy.
The taste is quite chewy, again banana, but also something different, maybe some spiciness from the spelt.
Full, malty body.
Not too long aftertaste, but on the style.
Drinkable and pleasant, but not exceptional.
