L- Extremely dark garnet red-black. Likely slightly hazey, hard to tell. Pours with 3mm fine-bubble dark khaki head.
S- Blimey, busy! Liquor, rum maybe, cocoa, hints of smoke,
T- Heavy roast grain, hints of smoke again... charry. Also again a very subtle now liquor facet into a cocoa'ish roasty finish. Mercifully despite being a youthful 'choco milkshake (lactose)' stout a sweet aspect has yet to cross the palate.
F- It's all pretty festive. Like a charry stout with a couple of shots of liquor added...
O- ...But I like it, it's very well put together. Nothing here to offend the more mature palate. Considering it's a potentially loud 7.4% the ABV is under-stated. Good brewing.
#2061 - Bought from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. 440ml crafty (matt-labelled) can. BB. 12/05/2022 £6.49
