Cohesion Brewing

Pours yellow with a light fogginess to the transparency. Head is three fingers of white foam. Aroma is wafers, biscuits, and crackers, with lemon zest, and grassy hops coming thru over the top. Straw comes in late, but is mild. Flavor profile is driven by the same wafery, crackery, biscuity malt base, with grass and light tropical fruit hops adding a little extra depth. Again, mild straw comes thru the center. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a soft, fuzzy, yet not quite crisp, texture. Overall, refreshing, Subtle little pop of hop at the back, but not enough to crowd out the malt base.

This is their Anniversary beer, and it's quite a bit hoppier than most of what they make. It's a step outside of the traditional European recipes, sort of a hybrid of those and Americanized recipes geared toward palates which have been bombarded by IPAs. You could actually call this a Session IPA and people would flock to it. I like less hops in general, but this was a good beer and a nice changeup on their menu.
