Nicked from the old man's fridge. He received it as a Christmas present in December 2021 but it was looking lonely and growing old in his fridge so I gave it a good home. That was back in August 2022. Then, in an alpha move, I took it back and drank and reviewed it at his house. But I'm not a rude guest so my notes were perfunctory at best.
App: Bright, clear, golden hay-coloured beer. Very pretty.
Nose: Dusty, earthy, dried hay.
Taste: Sweet, mild, floral bitterness. Clean, crackery body. It probably needs a little bit more bitterness to hit all the pilsner marks.
Mouth: Prickly carbonation, that is warming and noticeable on the way down.
Overall: A nice example of the style. Slightly sweeter and less bitter than I'd want in a pilsner, but nicely done nonetheless.
