Half pour at brewery. Lightly cloudy golden, skin of fine head. Light woody, fruity aroma. Taste is smooth, stone fruit, mouth coating, vanilla. Very subtle. Really nice.

a double dry hopped pale ale here with simcoe, real well done, one of the better hoppy beers we had in here, although it seems they are doing just about everything pretty well so far. this is oddly light, lower in alcohol and in body, drinkable compared to a lot of the soupy thick double dry hopped beers dominating the space right now, i like this softer side. its not all the way clear but definitely more in the west coast style overall. the beer has a lasting inch of white foam on it, one of the better head retentions of the beers we had here, and lots of bubbles the whole way, nice for a pale to have the textural life to match the bright hops. the simcoe is obvious, but is maybe a little less harsh around the edges than it often can be, slightly more herbal, still woodsy and citrus pithy, but without the oily burn or the lingering high alpha punch, its more balanced, more subtle, but gorgeously fresh and boldly dosed, about all this little pale base can hold, but its not forced either. herbal juniper, fresh sliced tangerine, and light weedy dankness as it warms, lighter medium body, dry finish, clean ferment. drinkable and well made, in my top couple of favorites overall from our visit here.
