A summer seasonal from Shaftebury's, from a brown 341ml bottle, no freshness date. Colour is a light clear gold, head did not retain long, it seemed fizzy and bubbly. Aroma of hay, herbs and spicy hops, perhaps a hint of clover honey.
Flavour is dry, a touch of sweet malt (wheat), accentuated by the spicy hops. A carbonated mouthfeel, like drinking soda water, which prevents it going down as smoothly as I'd like. Because of that it left me feeling bloated, even drinking it from a glass. Not a very strong offering for a summer seasonal, although perhaps the quality is due to this brewery switching hands and locations twice already.
