Deep amber body and clear; dense and semi-creamy head. Bright malt scent; mineral-like; floral. Clean tasting; light malt flavor; subtle hop bitterness. Light body; dry overall.
A nice example of a steam beer (now that Anchor Brewing is kaput, I suppose the trademark for the name 'steam beer' can now be used at will). This is a collaboration beer with the Brewing Science Institute and made prior to the announcement of Anchor's demise.
Pouring temperature: 47.3 ℉
