Clear amber body; abundant fine-bubble carbonation; decent head, white and soapy, loose bubbles yet lasting. Hard to perceive nose; very delicate note of light malt and sweetness with a dash of nearly noble hop. Light malt flavor; caramel; moderate hop bitterness nicely complementing the sweetness; a smidge of spiciness. Medium body; smooth and sticky on the palate; semi-dry.
I can't recall the last time I had an English-style India pale ale, but I do like this beer. It's relative simplicity is just a nice change of pace from all the latest IPA craziness. It is balanced and easy drinking yet also packs a nice ABV punch.
