Pours a clear, brown / amber color; good carbonation; thick, frothy, off-white head, long-lasting. Fine aroma blend of toasted and roasted grains; roasted nuts and pretzels. Excellent roasted grain base flavor; mild caramel with dried hickory nuts; moderate hop bitterness presence, mild herbal notes. Medium body; lager smooth; slight overall warmth to the beer.
I consider this a fine journeyman effort for a classic German seasonal beer. It hits all the right style parameters and drinks like a champ. Nice!
