The third of five offerings from this 5 x 2 pack of Hawkesbury Brewings pack I picked up at Aldi. Hazy beers are all the rage here in Australia. I've been impressed by their lager and mid strength Pacific Ale, so I'm going into this with high expectations.
Appearance: A lovely dark golden colour, with a bubbly slightly off white head. Definitely Hazy, with the haziness and the colour of the beer looks a little like Muddy Water.
Aroma: Classic Tropical Hazy Pale aroma going on. Sweet malt, a hint of caramel. There's some interesting Pine and Mango notes, with a lemon and citrus backing. The caramel sweetness tends to over power the tropical aroma a little bit by the third or fourth pass on the nose. Does smell inviting and rich however.
Taste: definitely malt forward sweetness, with a nice citrus hop bite in the middle and back end of the sip. There's a slight bitterness to the back end of the sip, but it's fairly mellow.
Feel: Has a good amount of body to the beer, mediumish mouthfeel. I feel like the malt is doing most of the work with its sweeetness adding to the mouthfeel. Decent carbonation prickle.
Overall: Middle of the road sorta for me. It's a little sweet for my liking, and I could only polish off 1 or 2 cans Max of these. It's decent however.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
