Purchased at the Malua Bay IGA in January 2024 and drunk in August of that year.
L: The beer pours golden orange, with a massive, rocky white head in the glass. A lot of sediment is hanging suspended in the glass despite the rollicking carbonation shooting by. There's no mention of bottle conditioning on the label (and this experience is in direct contrast to the only other review to date of this beer), so the beer is marked down accordingly on appearance.
s: The nose has orangey citrus and a touch of grapefruit.
T: The taste is similar to the nose, with orange citrus juice, peel, and grapefruit notes dominating and opening up substantially as the beer gained a little warmth. There's a tinge of minerality and thinness at the back end, but it's not enough to detract from the overall flavour profile. The malt background is muted and slightly sweet, and the bitterness hangs around after swallowing.
M: The beer's mouthfeel is smooth and mild, with low carbonation and minimal bite on the swallow.
O: I was prepared to be disappointed with this one after the pour and some very muted and minerally notes while the beer was still cold. As it warmed, however, the orange and grapefruit notes blossomed, and the beer became very enjoyable.
Cheers!

Fourth beer in my 5 x 2 pack of Hawkesbury Brewing Co beers is this Pale Ale.
Vessel: Green 375ml can poured into my Coopers Tulip.
Appearance: Light golden, thick bubbly sea foam white head. Honestly looks more like your typical lager than a Pale Ale. I've had some craft Pales that resemble and go on to drink like lagers. Although from the other beers I've drunk from this crew, I'm expecting decent things. Completely filtered, lots of carbonation.
Aroma: Refreshing Pine and Citrus notes, light sweet malt.
Taste: Sweet malts followed by the nose scents from earlier of Pine and Citrus. It's a nice refreshing clean flavour.
Feel: Thinnish body. Medium carbonation prickle.
Overall: It's a simple, clean highly refreshing American West Coast style Pale Ale. It's very simple, and basic, but quite often that what makes a beer good. It's hard to get the simple things consistent. It's uncomplicated and easy drinking. A nice simple Entry level Pale Ale.
