Fifth and last beer in this pack of 5 x 2 beers. An IPA. PROBbly the beer I'm most excited about in the pack.
Vessel: Bright purple 375ml can.
Appearance: Light and Golden, similar to an Aussie Pale Ale. Decent white head on the beer.
Aroma: A bit tropical. Piney-like hops with passionfruit, mango and a hint of pineapple. A hint of bitterness lingers in the nostrils, but no malty aroma. Having now said all that, it's quite subdued somewhat.
Taste: Somewhat similar to the smell, it's somewhat subdued. Getting those pine like flavours, a hint of lemon citrus and some malt. Bitterness is low, practically non existent, Has some bready malt about it, but it's not as flavourful as I was hoping.
Feel: Medium mouthfeel, decent medium level carbonation. Smooth and easy drinking.
Overall: A little disappointing to be honest. It hides its 6.3 ABV well, and whilst it's smooth and drinkability is high it's missing those punch in the face flavours I've come to expect from craft IPAs. That's not to say it's bad, it's just underwhelming.
