Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The brew is served a lightly hazy yellow amber color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head had a moderate level of retention, fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a wheat and bready malt smell mixed with aromas of coriander and clove. Along with these smells comes a little bit of caramel malt, some light hay, and a little bit of grass and herb.
Taste – The taste begins with a somewhat more crisp crack malt flavor mixed with some orange citrus and a bit of caramel malt. At the same time, the spices that were in the nose are present in the flavor, with both growing slightly more intense as the taste moves forward. All the while the sweeter orange fades a bit, all while a yeast, some wheat, and hay flavors come to the tongue, leaving one with a rather crisp and clean taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel -The body of the brew is light and crisp with a carbonation level that was on the average side. For the moderate abv and style the feel was rather nice, making for a crisp and easy sipping brew.
Overall – A easy drinking and very approachable brew. A nice, more session style blond ale.
