Available on our Bavarian river boat cruise, this was a pretty impressive hefe I thought. Poured from a bottle.
The beer pours a light hazy golden amber color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose I'm picking up considerable clove, banana and underlying spice. Textbook hefeweizen nose here, though it's more pronounced than many. Flavor profile in this hefe replicates the nose pretty closely, though the sweet malt in this beer is very prominent and forward. However, the finish is quite dry, with considerable clove and light bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and the alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile.
This is a very well crafted hefeweizen, one that I wouldn't hesitate to order again.

Darnk from my Erdinger weizen glass.
A - Pours a hazy honeycomb colour with a nice tight white head that dies quickly.
S - Aromas of clove, yeast and banana
T - A littel stringent on the start, sticky banana and clove present not too well balanced.
M - Medium to full and overcarbonated.
O - A little heavy for the style but ok for a bargain

Hazy orange, some chunks of yeast floating. White, flufy, abundant head, average compactness.
Weizen smell: banana, cloves, yeast, and even a hint of wet cardboard.
The taste is phenolic, medicinal. A bit "heavy" for a weizen.
Warm and heavy mouthfell. Notes of ripe fruit, maybe melon.
In the aftertaste, too, ripe banana, and yeast.
For sure, not light.
