The combination of different malt varieties, bringing them in balance and creating a nice appearance is the secret of the amber lager Red Rooster. It has a crisp and slightly roasty body with less bitterness and less hop aroma.

On tap.

A - Medium amber red pout with dense, lightly toasted cream foam resting on top.

S - A pretty "barely there" nose with some mineral and doughy malt aroma.

T - Doughy malt with a small amount of toast to it with inimal some earthy citrus. Lingering toasted malt with citrus earthiness sits on the palate well after the sip.

M - Light medium body with a semi-dry finish.

O - Pretty average but hits the spot on a hot day.

Look: It pours amber with a slightly tan head. Head retention is very good.

Smell: It has aromas of light caramel and herbs. There is a very light apple fruitiness in the background.

Taste: It has a grainy sweetness to it with a touch of caramel. There is a slightly herbal flavor with very low apple.

Feel: It has a medium light body with a somewhat sweet aftertaste.

Overall, the aromas are not very strong although the flavors are refreshing.

Poured from 500ml can into pint glass. Amber color, thin beige head, moderate lacing. Aroma is mild and pleasant bready malt with a hint of hops. Nutty and caramel flavors with some lemon and grassy notes. Overall: very good.
