Pours a hazy/murky brown with a slight khaki head that quickly fades. Looks inviting in the Golden Age teku!
Nose of sweety malt and very restrained isoamyl, 4VG, and smoke. Asked about the smoked malt and was told that they used a rather small percentage of smoked wheat.
Mouthfeel is medium with rather limited carbonated influence.
Taste is lovely and spot on for the style. Malt forward with banana and clove in the background. If you didn't know there was smoked malt in it, you probably would just pick up an unknown complexity.
Overall just a lovely beer from a gem of a brewery.
