Outstanding golden yellow body; excellent carbonation; thick, frothy head, white and sticky. Really nice aroma of pine and light citrus; soft malt undertone. The taste is rather juicy with a quiet tangerine overtone; very light malt flavor; moderately intense hop bitterness from mid-sip through the finish. Medium body; a little thick with residual sugars; coarse and prickly on the palate; fine, soft dryness overall.
For an India pale ale at nearly nine months old, this beer still maintains some great looks and smell. The taste and mouthfeel are pretty good, too. I would imagine a fresher beer would be even better. All in all, this is a great IPA, well-rounded and tasty.
