ahti is recognized as one of the oldest continually brewed beer styles in the world dating back to 1366 with references found in Finland as a beer consumed at a burial of a Bishop. Traditionally, Sahtis are unpasteurized, top-fermented, cloudy, and brewed with additions of juniper berries and branches. Our version contains a Sahti malt blend from Viking Malt with Pilsner, Munich, and Finnish rye steeped with an entire juniper tree! A small portion was put into the Amphora and fermented with Kveik Voss dry yeast imparting a nutty, dark fruit note that compliments the herbal juniper steep.

The Steel version was fermented with a Belgian yeast so flavors and aromas are reminiscent of Belgian wheat beers.
