Although not overly carbonated, the pour to empty a pint can's contents into a clear glass liter mug produced twice the volume of nearly stark white foam than it did liquid. This mess receded unevenly, but slowly, leaving some irregular glass lacing. There's an almost imperceptible pink hint in the foam. It rests on top of a murky and dull dark orange-amber. It's so dark, it approaches brown. The ingredients are listed, but the nose knows there's more than just a strawberry puree in a kettle sour. The strawberry seems a minor part of the aroma, as some kind of grain mix, likely a combination of wheat and oats is more pronounced. Tasting it, the strawberry French toast essence mentioned on the label is now understood. Whatever the essence is comprised of, it does manage to provide references to strawberry French toast. There are probably some cinnamon, vanilla and maybe even some maple flavorings within. A good guess would be that there's some lactose, too. The mouthfeel has just a bit of that milk sugar stickiness, but it's not to a major fault. Overall, this is commendable for managing to get within a reasonable degree of close to its intent. The mouthfeel ends up at least close to acceptable. The major negative is its limited presence of the strawberry flavor. Like the nose predicted, there's a little, but it plays only a secondary part. In fairness, there is more strawberry to taste than to smell, but this would be better with more of it for each sense.
