Dark gold to amber and clear with a nice persistent head. Smell is big American hops- pine and citrus. Taste is big bitter piney and citrusy hops with a big malt presence backing it up. Just really archetypal and a fantastic example of the west coast IPA style. And I was surprised to get such a close-to-perfect example of the style at a small brewpub. Medium heavy bodied and strong- I'm suspecting it's a little stronger than the advertised 6.5.

Had on fraught at restaurant. Love it. Smells floral and fruity and goes down smooth with a consistent finish. Pairs well with the ocean.
