Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 12/11/22.
Appearance: rich orange hue with plenty of haze and a thick finger of frothy eggshell foam atop. Lovely!
Smell: very nicely grapefruity with a malt that is sweet, to be sure, but not overbearing. It's juicy, too -- think "grapefruit julius". I'm into it.
Taste: a good combination of tropical and grapefruit flavors, with a malt that, like the aroma, is on the sweet side but not cloying or oppressive in any way. A bit of a rind-ey bitterness comes through, and while that's maybe a little harsh, it's a nice contrast to the smooth sweetness. A very good beer.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good carbonation and an exceedingly smooth creaminess. Really really nice.
Overall: I am enjoying the heck out of this beer. Ladd & Lass never disappoints.
