Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 11/5/23. This is a single-hop Citra hazy.
Appearance: medium golden-yellow hue with tons of haze and a finger of pillowy ivory foam atop. Looks good.
Smell: sweet aroma abounding with fresh, soft Citra. Tropical notes, along with a bit of orangey citrus aroma, but not overdone. The richness makes the character almost dank. It’s really, really good.
Taste: tropical and just a little sweet, with more of a passionfruit and mango kind of flavor profile than the aroma. An interesting effect for Citra! It’s delicious, of course, although perhaps not as enticing as that aroma — admittedly a hard bar to beat!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a nicely smooth creaminess.
Overall: this is a damn fine beer (I’m sure it helps that it’s super fresh!), and I could sit and smell that aroma all day.
