Poured from 16oz can into my 8th Wonder chalice. Canned 8/6/23.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a light haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: lightly sour and sweet; the first thing that comes through is the coconut. After that, the pineapple and hints of lime round out the piña colada flavor. A nice take on a classic cocktail.
Taste: sourness is mild but on point for this drink, I think; it kind of emphasizes the lime more than anything. The coconut and pineapple continue to play well together, and unlike some such beers I don’t think the lactose is overdone. Not bad at all.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creamines.
Overall: this beer is for sure what it says on the tin — if something like “Pineapple Escapade” sounds like it might appeal to you, then this beer certainly will. I’m finding it to be a delightful treat, and like I said, not too sweet as some beers like this tend to be.
