Come to the Dark Side with our take on the traditional Czech tmavé pivo (dark lager). While this beer sports a deep hue, it is only lightly roasty—allowing notes of coffee and cacao to intermingle with clean flavors of deeply toasted rustic bread crust.
Hops: Czech Saaz

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 4/14/24.
Appearance: rich, deep brown hue with a bit of haze in the body and a big head of tan foam. Looking good!
Smell: a good chocolate note right up front followed by a bit of lagery yeastiness. I quite like it!
Taste: a little bit chocolatey, a little bit yeasty, a little bit caramelly, a little bit crisp. Well-balanced and very good indeed.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body but with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a very nice Czech dark lager. Highly drinkable.
