Number 2 in the Hop Shuffle series highlights the hoppy goodness that is currently being grown at CLS Farms in Moxee, WA. The classic El Dorado has been paired with newer varieties, Elani and Sultana, resulting in a beautiful tapestry of robust sweet citrus, tropical pineapple and mango, and just a touch of resinous pine.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 6/24/24.
Appearance: hazy golden-yellow hue with a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: passionfruit, pineapple, and orange rind notes are what I get the most of, but really it’s a rich tapestry of lovely tropical flavors atop a sweetish malt base. Despite being maybe a little long in the tooth, this can has great aroma.
Taste: earthier and perhaps a little danker than the aroma, there’s more of a melon, stone fruit, guava kind of jam going on here. I love the contrast to the aroma. It’s maybe a little toward the sweet side for my taste, but the fruitiness really makes this beer a treat.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a big carbonation and a really, really good texture for an IPA. Love it!
Overall: another rock-solid IPA from L&L, and the age doesn’t seem to have hurt it one bit. Absolutely loving this one.
