Inspired by the pastoral farmhouse beers of Belgium, Westchester harkens back to an earlier time of needing to quench a farmer’s thirst during the warmer months of work. Showcasing a rustic fermentation character, expect quenching dryness and a delicate bouquet of contemporary American hops. Fermented with our house saison culture, this beer is a perfect example of the magic of fermentation and its ability to transform simple ingredients into enchanting elixirs.

Poured from 500mL bottle into my Lord Chambray tumbler. Bottled 8/10/24.
Appearance: light golden hue with a light haze and and a finger of frothy white foam atop.
Smell: lightly tart with a bit of funk and a light sweetness. The cherry is subtle but adds a nice touch. This is a balanced and subtle fruit saison, and I like it.
Taste: a little bit more tart than the aroma suggests, but nicely balanced by the moderate farmhouse funk and light cherry sweetness. Rainier cherries are quite subtle in general, and they really work well here -- this is really a delightful beer.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a moderate carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I'm a big fan of both cherry beers and Ladd & Lass, so I was excited to snag this bottle. I'm quite pleased with my purchase!
