We’re doubling up on the anniversary celebrations this year! As L&L celebrates a third anniversary so, too, does the barber shop with a hoppy twist. We are so excited to be teaming up with The Bottle and The Barber owner, Cameron Dean, to commemorate this milestone. The serendipity of our two near-identical openings will be celebrated with a not-too-blunt, extremely coiffable West Coast-style IPA. Brewed with a pair of fun New Zealand hop varieties (Cryo Nelson & Motueka Hop Kief) as well as our hand-selected Cryo Citra, expect New Brew New You to pack a delightfully hoppy punch—with the dry pale malt offering just a fringe of contrasting bready goodness.
Hops: Cryo Nelson Sauvin, Motueka Hop Kief & Cryo Citra
Malts: Pilsner, Vienna & White Wheat

Poured from 16oz can into my Bell’s tulip. Canned 1/1/25 —- fresh!
Appearance: pale yellow-gold hue with a clear body and a finger of ivory foam atop.
Smell: slightly sweet but not too malty, with a very resiny-citrusy kind of aroma. It’s far more lemony than most beers of this style, in my experience. It’s quite different, and, I gotta say, I’m liking it a lot.
Taste: the malt is just a little bit toasty, perhaps appropriate with the Vienna in there, and comes across to me as a bit sweeter than the aroma. The hops are just as lemony, but with a green, almost-grassy quality to them as well. Maybe not quite as distinguished as the aroma, but still, I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body but with a good carbonation and a nicely smooth creaminess.
Overall: this beer is not your typical West Coast IPA, with far more emphasis on lemon than on grapefruit or pine. Nevertheless, I find it really works for me — it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it sure is mine!
