Brimming with some of our favorite New Zealand hops, Thankful for UDFB is a hearty celebration of the University District Food Bank and all they do for our community. Featuring Cryo Nelson Sauvin and Freestyle Peacharine, this IPA is a veritable cornucopia of ripe stone fruit, white wine grapes, and a beguiling piney noteāall complemented by a pleasing bitterness and lightly bready maltiness.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 11/11/24.
Appearance: pale yellow hue with a light haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: a bit sweet with a rather earthy, citrusy aroma. The citrus includes both lemon and grapefruit; it's kind of autumnal, and I suppose that's appropriate!
Taste: moderate sweetness with what seems like a bit of toastiness to the malt. The citrusy hops are more toward the lemon end of the spectrum than grapefruit, moreso than in the aroma, anyway. Bitterness is moderate, and overall it's got a very refreshing, almost-juicy flavor going on.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: the more I drink this, the more I like its kind of lemony, zesty, refreshing character. Definitely something I could drink all day ... I said the aroma was autumnal, but this feels more like a summer beer, honestly.
