As a part of Freestyle Hop’s Hop Research Collective, we occasionally get the opportunity to brew with their experimental products. This beer features new experimental product Cold Pressed Hop Juice, which utilizes New Zealand fresh hops processed into a format that allows for easy integration into our finished beer. The result is a burst of the fresh-from-the field-characters of both Nelson and Waimea, two of our favorite hops. Prepare yourself for a bounty of tropical fruit—white grape, passion fruit, guava, and a touch of the dank notes that we love in our Kiwi varieties.
Hops: Citra, Centennial, Nelson Sauvin Cold Pressed Hop Juice & Waimea Cold Pressed Hop Juice
Malts: Pilsner, Flaked Oats, Extra Pale White Wheat & Malted Oats

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 2/24/26 — 5 days ago.
Appearance: light yellow hue with a thick haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: moderately sweet with notes of passionfruit, mango, maybe a little pineapple, and an overall juicy almost-dankness. Quite good indeed!
Taste: malt is on the sweet side, but that’s balanced with a kind of, if not hop burn, then definitely kind of a piquant character that benefits from a balancing sweetness. The character is tropical and juicy, with passionfruit, mango, and perhaps even a little stone fruit thrown into the mix. I really like it, although that piquancy does take a little bit away from the overall excellence — still a very good beer, though.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a very good carbonation and a lovely, rich, smooth creaminess.
Overall: a very, very good beer, though in my opinion, just a hair’s breadth away from being truly magical.
