For this year’s anniversary collaboration, we found ourselves teaming up once again with our friend and one of our favorite brewers, John Marti, of Little Letters Lager. This experimental lager reverses the typical mash temperature regiment while employing an enhanced decoction process to produce a pilsner that is incredibly dry yet layered with oodles of nuanced malt depth. We love how this pilsner turned out and think it is a fitting (and crushable) paragon of The LLLLLager Life.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 1/3/26.
Appearance: medium straw hue with a clear body, a light effervescence, and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: rather light aroma of slightly grainy malt and a bit of yeastiness. Not super strong, but not bad.
Taste: malt has a nice balance of sweetness and slightly astringent graininess. Hop flavor is kinda light dry grass, with a moderate bitterness that’s just right for the style.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and a good creaminess.
Overall: another solid lager from Ladd & Lass. The aroma wasn’t as enticing as the rest of the beer, but overall it’s quite drinkable..

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
