Poured from 16oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 1/5/26.
Appearance: rich amber-brown hue with a moderate haze and a thin finger of creamy ivory foam atop.
Smell: sweet and rich with aromas of bread, caramel, toffee, and even a little bit of candied citrus. As it warms up a little I get a little bit of shoe leather and the citrus aroma turns a little bit into a kind of fruit punch thing. Interestingly complex, and very satisfying.
Taste: very much like the aroma up front, with a pronounced fruitiness, but also rich caramel, raisin, and shoe leather flavors; there is a bit of oxidation at the end, which is appropriate to the style. Sweet as all get-out and rather boozy, but still very good indeed.
Mouthfeel: rich body with a light carbonation; it's very smooth, but I think I'd like a little more carbonation to increase the creaminess factor a little.
Overall: a damn nice sippin' beer. I'm going to enjoy this a great deal. Perhaps not perfect, but what is?
