L: Pours dark chocolate, forming a robustly active dark cinnamon/syrup-colored head which is quick to fade. No appreciable retention on the surface, but a very slight ring of bubbles form around the edge of the snifter. Held to the light, a thick and opaque near-black, dark carob chocolate.
S: Bourbon on the nose. Hints of dark fruit and chocolate.
T: Whiskey and barrel forward. Followed by hints of vanilla, dark fruit (cherries?). Dark chocolate and some slight sugar.
F: Full-bodied. Smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Heavier on the tongue. Light carbonation.
O: A very decadent RIS. Full marks.
