On tap at Hive/Grey Sail
Alright, finally time to make some more progress with my RI brewery journey. Tonight is a two-fer, as Grey Sail and Hive are in the same building. I’ve already reviewed 2 beers from Grey Sail so I’m starting off with this Festbier from Hive. Let’s see what it’s all about
Pours a clear yellow gold with a finger of white head that quickly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is pretty standard but there’s a nice bite to it. I’m picking up on aromas of homey, crackery malt, grapefruit zest, white pepper, herbal hops, and light apple skin
It’s a little better in taste, it has more of a bite. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting bready malt, white pepper, honey, toffee, lemon zest, and light floral hops. The swallow brings notes of crackery malt, honey, white pepper, herbal hops, toast grain, and lemon zest
A light medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a crisp yet wet beer. Finishes neutral but still refreshing
It’s not great, but definitely enjoyable. Went well with the stereotypical bag of flavored popcorn

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
